Whekenui Bay - Arapawa Island

If you're considering a holiday in New Zealand's magnificent Marlborough Sounds, look no further than Arapawa Homestead. Located on Arapawa Island (18,500 acres) at the northern region of the South Island, Arapawa Homestead invites you to take a break, relax and enjoy the ever-changing views.

Arapawa Homestead is surrounded by stunning scenery and panoramic vistas of Cook Strait, Tory Channel and the heads at the gateway to the Marlborough Sounds. The island is steeped in the rich history of the Marlborough region. Until 1993, the homestead and accompanying farm was owned and operated by the Perano family who ran a whaling station on the island. Remnants of the factory are still there today.

There is much to explore around our rugged 900 acre farm.
A great destination for a family holiday or, a peaceful, short break from the busy city life.

The homestead's owners and hosts, Mike and Antonia Radon, live in nearby Whekenui Bay. Mike and Antonia also have three children who they home school.

You won't want to leave our little piece of paradise.
